You will delight in knowing this gift from the Creator to be part of our healthy eating. Through the five senses, we encourage you to know, enjoy and be good managers of this gift.
Participants will sit on chairs in a circle. The facilitator will assign them a fruit name, repeating each name more than once. The facilitator will say for example: "I went to the market to buy oranges" and all the oranges have to change places with each other. When it is said: "I went to the market to buy "fruit salad" everyone will change places. In the movement of places, the Facilitator will occupy a chair and whoever is left without a chair continues the game. The person who will be in the center will try to take one of the seats when the others move, thus leaving a new facilitator in the center, who at the mention of another fruit continues the game.
Ecological Themes of the Collection
The unique factor of this collection is that in addition to organizing the activities into ecological themes, each Theme contains a sequence of five activities. This sequence is based on cutting-edge pedagogy that transforms children’s apathy toward nature into joy by having them play, observe, experiment, admire the Creator, and even take action to conserve nature. This system is called: Fluid Learning® (Used under license from Flow Learning® by Sharing Nature Worldwide). It traditionally has four stages, but for the purposes of this collection the fourth has been amended and a fifth stage has been added.
Stages of the Flow Learning Process
- Awakening Enthusiasm
- Focusing Attention
- Offering Direct Experience
- Worshiping the Creator
- Acting as Stewards of Creation
When you find an ecological topic of your interest and possibilities to explore, follow this sequence, and you will discover that the activities will generate appreciation, joy, gratitude and response to the beauty of creation.
