- Approximate Duration:
20 or 30 minutes - Ecological Theme:
Healthy Plants

The participants will pick up the garbage with one of the canes to which a nail will be inserted at the bottom. That way, without having to bend down, they gather whatever they find along the way and then put it in a bag.
- One garbage bag per person.
- A hammer for the whole group, or a local stone that does that function
- enough nails
- Canes made from broomsticks, or sticks
After having such a beneficial experience of being in nature, how can they respond to the care of the natural area in which they were? (Talk with the group about your ideas)
A practical way to respond would be as follows:
- They will pick up the garbage they find on the spot, without having to bend down.
- Agree in the group who is going to clean up on the right side of the road, and who is going to clean up on the left.
- With the cane or stick of the nail fit the garbage that they find.
- Try to stay in a straight line, without some getting ahead, or others falling behind. Keep the same distance from each other.
- At the end of the tour, we will have cleaned the entire field!
Become aware of the stewardship that God entrusted us to take care of his creation, with the question: How can they respond to the care of the natural area in which they were? And wait for responses from the group.
A practical way to lead them to respond would be the following:
- Using your hammer or a large local stone, drive a nail into the bottom of one of the canes or poles. This will serve to collect the garbage that they find, fitting with the nail
- Get enough garbage bags
Pedagogical Stage 5: Being Stewards of Creation
The activities of this stage invite you to take concrete actions to fulfill God’s mandate to care for and preserve his creation. They biblically guide the participants to act in accordance with God’s mandate, not because we feel guilty, but to be obedient stewards to the Creator.
